Functions
Our licensed venue is welcoming for all members and guests, with free onsite parking for 200 cars.
Indoor function spaces are available for intimate events of 10 people or more, or up to 450 people for more lavish occasions such as christenings, weddings, formals, gala dinners, conferences, multicultural celebrations, or sporting events.
In 2018, our centre also hosted the 2018 Commonwealth Games after-party dinner (featuring our famous succulent roasted pork belly). Onsite catering is available through our experienced chefs and professional event staff, and we also have standard tablecloths and centre-pieces for your use or you are welcome to arrange your own.
Room hire
Rooms are available for hire for full days (more than 5 hours) or half days (fewer than five hours).
- Main room – 450 guests or 400 guests with dance floor
- GCK1 | Hinterland Suite – 250 guests or 200 with dance floor
- GCK2 | Ocean Suite – 200 guests
- VIP Room – 50 guests
- Roman Catholic chapel – seats 200 guests. Unavailable 8am-9am on Sundays.
With selected food and beverage packages for groups of 400 people or more, the venue hire fee is waived. Please enquire for more details.
Food and beverage
We pride ourselves on using fresh, seasonal produce to complement your event. We have set menus to choose from, which can be flexibly tailored to your tastes. Menu suggestions are designed by our experienced professional chefs.
Our menus feature Croatian, modern Australian, and international dishes. Our staff always work with you to ensure your event runs smoothly.
Dietary requirements are easily accommodated. Please ensure the chef is aware prior to your function date.
Depending on your function, our services include:
- Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and beverage packages
- Buffet style or full-plated service
- Morning teas/afternoon teas
- Canapes, grazing platters, finger food
- Half-price children’s menu
- Food and beverage packages that include beer, wine, champagne, juice, soft drinks, or freshly brewed coffee and tea, and an assortment of chilled fruit juices
- Deluxe or premium packages offer basic spirits too.

- 5 televisions and audio to beam event around the venue
- Projector screen

- Fully air-conditioned rooms
- Special mood/atmosphere lighting (overhead, and on walls)
- Toilets, including wheelchair accessible toilet
- Bars (including indoor/outdoor and portable bars)
- Outdoor verandah, with seating, overlooking sports fields
- Inside stage
- Portable stage and portable bar
- Full commercial kitchen and outdoor kitchen
- We have a guide for table arrangements, depending on the size of your function and if you plan to use the stage or dance floor
- Support with chair and table décor as/if required.

About Slavko Maletic
Slavko Maletic grew up in Zagreb, Croatia, and studied hospitality management at University of Tourism and Hotel Management, Opatija, and has diplomas in cocktail making and flambé.
With more than 41 years’ experience in hospitality, Slavko has managed hotels and restaurants in Croatia, Austria, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, and Australia. In 2016, Croatian Sports Centre Gold Coast foundation member Peter Puljich asked Slavko to lend his expertise to the club. This turned into a full-time role, which Slavko really enjoys. It combines two of his greatest loves – hospitality and football.

No. Our centre is a licensed venue, which means alcohol must be purchased on site or served as part of our food and beverage packages.
We have a bitumen open-air car park for approximately 200 cars.
Yes. We have a range of food and beverage menu packages available, designed by our experienced chefs. Our friendly staff are happy to talk to you about the options available according to your needs, tastes, and budget.
Our air-conditioned event rooms can be hired for half or full days (under 5 hours and more than 5 hours).

Yes. Our chefs can easily cater for special dietary requirements if notified in advance of the function date. Please speak to our manager regarding the notice needed when you book your function.
Our venue is accessible for wheelchair users, and there is a wheelchair accessible toilet inside.
We have a range of desserts available, prepared by our in-house chefs. Any cake brought onsite must adhere to strict health and safety regulations and will incur a cakeage fee. Our manager can provide you with more information upon request.
